Buxton Half Marathon is run entirely on roads. It's a single lap route starting at Buxton’s Opera House and heading out of town up the first climb along Axe Edge. The route then heads down country lanes taking in the sights of Chrome Hill, Dowel Dale and Park House Hill. The route returns to Buxton, after a couple more climbs, finishing in Pavilion Gardens.
